Recruitment Drive.

After being idle for a while, SAC finally took part in this year's Club and Society Day. Seal took charge of the recruitment drive this time around and we all agreed that he did an amazing job (as always).

This time the event was held inside the Grand Hall, our booth was stationed in the middle of the hall. Throughout the day, members came between classes to help out at our booth and several of them were assigned as ambassadors. The role of an ambassador is to attract the crowd to our booth, which was beautifully decorated by Aladdin.

Just like tradition, we pitched a tent and had bicycles displayed at our booth. Photos of all our past activities were plastered all over the tent and bicycles as well, just to give everyone a glimpse of what SAC has done over the years.

Ambassadors went around the Grand Hall and the foyer with iPads to bring the crowd to our booth. Everyone was so excited to see such a large crowd of students to be interested in our club. Members were occupied with people and were seen explaining and recruiting people to join our club.

Halfway through the recruitment drive, Seal went up on stage to give everyone a brief introduction and background to SAC. Then, we showcased our parody video which was a compilation of videos that were shot from our members from all over the world! Seal decided to keep the video a secret and to premier it during the C&S for everyone. All members were overjoyed, laughing at the random silly things we did throughout the video. It definitely got members and the crowd excited for the club.

Overall, it was a successful recruitment drive and SAC managed to recruit almost 120 members from the recruitment drive. Looking forward to see the new recruits in the next stage of the recruitment, the Adventure Hunt!

Signing off,
Merlion.
