With new batch of recruits in the club, it is always essential for us to break the ice and bond with each other. To forge new and lasting relationships.
Following our tradition, the Sky Adventure Club@TLC held the Orientation Camp 2014 at Sungai Pauh in Cameron Highlands. It was held over the span of two days and was organized by Oyster and Kiddo.
The camp was an enjoyable experience, but to no one's fault, we were unfortunately caught in the rain on the first day. Drenched as we were though, the Sky Adventure campers showed their burning desire for adventure and embraced it as a whole. The lunch and dinner group soldiered on while in rain, to prepare the meals for the campers. Huddling under limited cover to cook, certainly made the members and recruits interact a lot more for the better.
Despite the rain that continued, at nightfall we had a terrific performance by the recruits who showcased short acts that were both entertaining and memorable. After that, we followed up by playing numerous bonding games and also a session where we shared our first impression of each other.
The next day was followed by an exciting 3-4 hours hike in the jungle, led by two guides. With the ground being wet and muddy due to the rain, the hike was extra challenging at times. Which made it only more fun.
After the long hike, we had our lunch and relaxed a little before packing up and heading back home.

The camp overall was a success, and it achieved the goal of being able to pull members and recruits closer to each other and to create a lasting friendship.
Cheers!
