SEC Honours Award

                On the 25^th of January, the Sky Adventure Club attended the first ever SEC Honours, where various nominated clubs and societies are awarded for their efforts and activities throughout the years. With multiple categories ranging from Charity & Welfare categories, Culture & Music, Technology and many more including the Sports category. And that was where the Sky Adventure Club fitted in.

                It was a GALA night, with representatives from the nominated clubs dressed to the nines. With VIPs present during that night, there was a certain air of formality and sense of prestige that was felt. Dinner was provided by a sumptuous buffet that offered Western and Asian cuisine. After dinner, we were eventually ushered into the main hall, where the award ceremony would begin.

                A speech was given by a representative of ICAEW and numerous other VIPs. This was then followed by a couple of performances to kick off the night.

                During the award ceremony, everyone help their breath in anticipation as the winners were announced. One by one, a winner was chosen for each category. We eventually reached the ‘Sports Category’ and, subsequently after waiting nervously for the results; the representatives from the Sky Adventure Club erupted with cheers when the winner was announced. For the first ever SEC Honours award, the Sky Adventure Club had won, winning a cash prize, certificate and a trophy.

                The representatives were then invited to come on stage and make a speech as the prizes were formally given. Our president, Hydro gave a speech entailing what the Sky Adventure Club stood for.

      It was a memorable night for all, and a major achievement for the Sky Adventure Club.  To be able to hold such a prestigious award that was competed for by numerous clubs across Malaysia is indeed quite a cool achievement. Let us look to the future and the opportunities it will hold for our club, Let Us Dare!
