Ahhh how fast the time has flown.. Leaving us all struggling to just keep up with it.

Nevertheless, we too shall not be defeated by Time. And it is with my great excitement and happiness ( till my nails curls up. I have no idea myself how, but it just did! )

It is time for SKY ADVENTURE RECRUITMENT DRIVE JULY INTAKE!! WOOHOO!!

Pound the alarm people!! Nicki Minaj style~ Uh uh uh~ 

We started out having a booth in front of Student Life Centre ( SLC ) during the Recruitment Day. I am not bragging but hey, we have one of the best booth ever in the history of SAC. We had a tent erected in front of SLC. Next, in order for people to sign up, they have to step inside the tent and register themselves on the Mac which can be found inside it.

The reason for this? Hmmm.. Even if there is a reason, is to let people have a glimpse of what they are about to experience in SAC. A feeling of enjoyment, adventure and also to enjoy the "crampiness" space inside a tent; where we will be spending our time together later on. Hehehehe. ( no pun intended okay )

Back to Recruitment Day, we managed to hauled in a lot of people. Is 120++ people considered a lot? I hope so yeah? I wonder if any other clubs get this much? Oh so excited thinking about it. :)

I remembered everyone was super excited about this number, and they talked on and on and on till everybody forgot what those numbers were. Ugh. Headache.

 Like, literally.. On and on and onnnnnn~

But, we know that is not the end of it.... There is more..... 

- Treasure Hunt -

Tadaaaa~ Its Treasure Hunt bebeh!!

Treasure Hunt has long been SAC's tradition where people who wishes to join the club has to undergo certain "fitness activities" where they have to perform to their best in term of physical, wits, brain, leadership, and most important of all, group co-operation.

Also as a way for the current members to evaluate and further know the new people, who later will be called "new recruits" this event is proven to be successful in doing so. * wink *

Due to the large amount of people, we had to split the Hunt into two days, where approx 60 people will join in on a single day, and the rest the next.

But wait, hey wait a minute! Do you not want to know who is the OCP?

Before that, lemme explain what is an OCP. An OCP is known as Organising Chair Person. And NO, IT DOES NOT MEAN HE IS A CHAIR.

He just acts like one; where people sits on him. ( Not literally ) He or she will be responsible in carrying out the planning for a particular event, and also will be the head organizer, so to say.

And our organizer for the Hunt is none other than, Walrus!! Yiipppiiiee!!

And without a doubt, he has done a good job right?

Day 1 - The Hunt Commence 

The day of the first hunt. We set up our booth in front of the SLC at approx 530pm, all full in our armor of yellow SAC Jersey; and all can be seen running from one place to one place, with WALRUS in the lead, briefing us all about the stations and games tactics. 

Taboo stayed with her laptop to take the registration of all the hunt and to divide everyone into groups, While the rest of us are out running to allocate the stations away.

The hunt started with allocations of groups, where people got divided randomly into 6 groups. The ice-breaking session comes afterwards within the each group, where the escort for the group and each member to know each other and to communicate. :)

Before any activities, a warm-up is a must and todays warm-up session was headed by Aladdin.

Once everyone is prepped up and agitated, Kuali gave the green light for the start of the event, and POOOOFFFF There Everybody Go!!

The hunt consists of 4 obstacle course that will test the participants of their endurance, participants, groupwork-ability, wit, critical thinking, and also their brain. :)

On that day, many people can be seen running around the campus, looking really anxious and definitely, competitive. Everybody wanted to win, everybody wanted to show and prove who is the best group, everybody tried to outsmart each other.  Such spirit, admirably. 

 Such spirit which are one of the most essential spirit must have when joining SAC. We are looking for youth who are vibrant, daring and bold, caring and compassionate to join our family.

For the time being, the new applicant for the club must undergo our test in which where they will be evaluated fairly.

As the race goes on, huge tension can be felt from all the participants as well as the SAC members themselves. The obstacles varies from group to group as they started on different stations. In my opinion, perhaps the most difficult challenge was the Stair To Heaven, where participants had their feet tied together in a pair and had to run up the stairs in Block C, while looking for letters, scattered around which in turn will form the final clue. :)

However, those who are unable to perform this task will be given punishments, and will be asked to re-do. Ouch. :( 

After they have got the last clue, which was D415! The SAC Secret Hideout and Meeting Place. Time to head for the final station, people!

Loo and behold, when people thought this was their last destination, they ran like hell only to find out there is one final task they need to do. Super physical test that will need them to push themselves to the very limit. 

This task were conducted by various SAC Members, and at some point, some members joined in as well as a morale boost. The final task includes repetitive planking and duck-walk. Although everybody was super tired from the hunt, all the participants really pushed themselves forward. 

After the almost "excruciating" ordeal, we are gathered in the classroom for a debriefing by Kuali before ending the day. :) 

Onwards to the Second Day!

Also with the same spirit, and more prepared. Briefing were given again by Walrus with more specifications as more experience had been earned. 

As with the first day, the hunt started with registration of all the participants and then proceeded with them being herded into the amphitheater for a quick warm-up, headed by Hydro and Shuttle. 

Next on the agenda was the participants being grouped respectively and were given a short briefing by Walrus with then given a green light by Kuali to start the hunt. 

As usual, everybody were running as if their live were depending on the hunt; also to show how best their team are. Although there are no difference between the stations today and the one from the previous day, it felt more and more challenging today for some weird reason. 

I had the chance to head a group of participants, and its all I could do to contain my feelings of excitement, just watching my team struggle in every stations, and looking at me pleadingly for a hint. Hahaha! Big no-no guys! I just had to give them some punishments for that. :)
( i bet they regret having me. haha. )

However, I heard the other groups were also given out punishments, some even more extreme than what I had given out. Aww.. No fair. :( 

Todays' group were the same as yesterdays; everyone had given out their only best to outreach one another and had work marvelously in their own group, which obviously will make our job harder in choosing out members. :) 

In a way that just proves just how good everyone is, right? 

If only we could take you all in. That would be just perfect and superb. but however, rules are rules and not meant to be broken. 

Enough with the wishful thinking. 

Back to reality, the first group who first cracked all the codes and made it first to the classroom was Aladdin's group; and also the first group to be given out the "special" last task, which was conducted by yours truly and also some other SAC members. 

After all the groups have finally, safely arrived and completed all their courses, we were gathered in the classroom for a briefing by Kuali; telling the procedures of the club and of the hunt, and also the upcoming interview to those who had been passed their hunt. 

 Well, I am certainly am looking forward for this. Don't you too? :)
